Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) partnered with QSR Brands to organise Motorsports Talk 2.0 2026, giving the university’s automotive and engineering students a first-hand look at the inner workings of the international motorsports scene.
Held at the Raja Zarith Sofiah Library, the event was graced by Tunku Panglima of Johor Tunku Abdul Rahman Sultan Ibrahim and Tunku Putera of Johor Tunku Abu Bakar Sultan Ibrahim, who is also a racer for the Johor Motorsports Racing (JMR) team.

We partnered with Kechara Soup Kitchen and The Lost Food Project to redirect surplus, unsold food to underserved communities in the Klang Valley, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, and Pahang. This initiative provides meals for those in need while reducing food waste and mitigating our greenhouse gas emissions. It is another example of how our community commitments intersect with our sustainability initiatives.
As of 2024, we have donated 6,445 kilograms (kg) of food through the Harvest Programme. Moving forward, we aim to broaden our outreach by partnering with more organisations extending coverage beyond major cities, and enhancing the measurement of our impact.
With a generous contribution of RM100,000 dedicated to meal distribution initiatives, KFC Malaysia provided immediate food relief to those displaced by floods. This ensures that essential meals reach the most vulnerable.
Following the devastating floods that hit Sabah in September 2025, a cheque handover ceremony was held on 9 October 2025 at KFC Bandaran Berjaya, Kota Kinabalu, where a total of RM70,000 was contributed to Persatuan Kebajikan Komuniti Moyog Penampang.

QSR Brands was one of the first from the food service sector to provide aid to the Putra Heights fire victims. We distributed 500 KFC meals and 300 Pizza Hut meals across two relief centers. The team had the chance to connect with the families, listen to their stories, and we shared words of encouragement and well wishes on behalf of our management and team.
Sukarelawan QSR Brands turun padang ke Lorong Haji Taib, Chow Kit, untuk mengedarkan 250 pek makanan KFC bersama-sama pek makanan kering dari Yayasan JCorp. Program ini turut disemarakkan dengan majlis berbuka puasa dan solat tarawih berjemaah bersama anak-anak sekolah tahfiz, golongan gelandangan serta komuniti asnaf sekitar kawasan tersebut.
Pek makanan KFC bernilai sebanyak RM50,000 (3,821 pek makanan) telah diagihkan kepada mangsa-mangsa banjir di 13 kawasan di daerah Johor Bahru, antaranya ialah di Plentong, Tampoi (Kg. Pasir dan Kg. Serdang Baru), Cahaya Baru (Kg. Sentosa Damai), Gelang Patah (Kg. Pok), Skudai, Kebun Teh, Bandar Baru Uda, serta Kempas.
In conjunction with the Kaamatan celebration in 2025, QSR Brands proudly donated RM35,000 to five homes across Sabah, benefiting numerous residents in need. The funds will be used to provide daily necessities, school supplies, and groceries for the elderly and children.
In celebration of Gawai Festival this year, QSR Brands presented RM31,000 in donations to four charitable homes during a cheque handover ceremony on 9 June 2025 at KFC Plaza Merdeka. The 4 homes in Sarawak which received the contributions were Hope Place Kuching, Persatuan Bagi Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Terencat Akal Sarawak (PERKATA Sarawak), Lembaga Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Sarawak, and Rumah Seri Kenangan.
QSR Brands telah memberikan sumbangan set makanan KFC kepada 1,000 pelajar yang telah menghadiri acara ini sebagai sebahagian daripada inisiatif ‘Back to School’ bagi persediaan permulaan sesi persekolahan tahun 2025. Selain daripada itu, selaras dengan tujuan program ini, Waqaf An-Nur, Johor Plantation Group, Johor Corporation dan Yayasan JCorp juga telah menyumbangkan dua buah rumah asnaf, dua buah bot, sebuah ambulans dan juga 100 bakul makanan di majlis ini.

Program ini melibatkan aktiviti sembelihan praktikal ayam, penyediaan dan memasak juadah berbuka puasa, sesi taklimat dari QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd, dan program iftar yang dijalankan di Masjid Al-Azhar, UIS. Aktiviti bermula seawal jam 8 pagi dengan proses sembelihan 40 ekor ayam diikuti penyediaan hidangan iftar secara bergotong-royong."

QSR Brands awarded a RM2 million endowment to support Raja Zarith Sofiah Centre for Advanced Studies in Islam’s expansion of academic research, scholarly development and its publications that will focus on community enrichment, Islamic worldview education and harnessing deeper community understanding and inclusivity.
QSR Brands is honoured to support “Sekolah Rintis Bangsa Johor” (SRBJ), a transformative initiative by the Johor State Government and Yayasan Raja Zarith Sofiah (YRZSNJ), in advancing digital education and empowering students for the future. With a RM2 million contribution from KFC Add Hope, 2,496 iPads were distributed to students and teachers at a ceremony on 10 May 2025, officiated by Johor’s Chief Minister, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.
This RM2.1 million initiative is targeted for qualified B40 students aiming to pursue their undergraduate degree at any one of the 20 public universities in Malaysia. In addition to tuition fees, the scholarship will cover a monthly living allowance and KFC meal vouchers.
The campaign aims to ensure that participating students receive a monthly food supply and in turn encourage them to stay in school, focus on their studies and improve their overall education experience, giving them better opportunities to grow and achieve their academic goals.
QSR Brands and KFC are the first companies to collaborate in Malaysia’s pioneering ADi programme, together with Yayasan JCorp, Johor State Education Department and the Ministry of Human Resources. Over two years, students that are part of this programme combine classroom learning with hands-on training in KFC restaurants, successfully earning both their SPM and Malaysian Skills Certificates (SKM Level 2 & 3).
The initiative aims to provide essential school kits along with additional financial support, ensuring a promising start to the academic year for these deserving youngsters.
Reducing waste and protecting ecosystems through recycling, food rescue and conservation.
QSR Brands is honoured to celebrate a significant milestone of our valued partner, The Lost Food Project (TLFP), commemorating 10 years of dedicated service in reducing food waste and nourishing communities in need.
Since 2019, KFC Malaysia has started its Harvest programme to distribute surplus food to the needy. In September 2024, it partnered with TLFP and collected over 6,584 kilograms of surplus food, reducing waste while uplifting lives.
QSR Brands partnered with Yayasan JCorp to protect marine life and empower local communities through the Coral Rehabilitation Programme at Pulau Aur, Mersing.
This joint initiative successfully planted 60 new coral fragments, using sustainable methods such as recycled glass coral bases and green cement structures to support marine ecosystem restoration. Alongside this effort, a beach clean-up activity removed 350kg of solid waste from the area.
We sell all used cooking oil from our KFC and Pizza Hut outlets to licensed third-party vendors for recycling into biodiesel, an eco-friendly alternative to fossil fuels. In 2024, we collected 2,053,178 kg of spent cooking oil for recycling. Due to changes in the number of restaurants in operation, less cooking oil was used, and therefore recycled. We also installed grease traps at all our restaurants to prevent fat, oil, and grease from entering wastewater and sewage systems, thereby reducing both pollution and the risk of clogging public plumbing infrastructure.

The Mentorship Programme kicked off in September 2024 with the objective is to get leaders to 'Transform Together. The mentorship program aims to empower leaders, nurture talents, promote a learning culture, and foster social connections.
QSR Brands collaborated with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) on the first fully accredited micro-credential degree program in Malaysia as a part of its commitment to cultivate continued learning. The partnership between QSR Brands and USM has taken a specially designed degree course, Bachelor of Management (Hons) in Strategy and Organisational Management with Minor in Food Technology program to its high-performing employees.
The SEED (Skills for Executive Excellence & Development) programme marks a significant milestone in QSR Brands’ commitment to building a strong and future-ready talent pipeline.
