KUALA LUMPUR, 15 May 2018 – QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd (QSR Brands), the region’s largest quick service restaurant operator with over 1,250 KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Cambodia; through its wholly owned subsidiary company, QSR Stores Sdn Bhd (QSR Stores) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (PDB) to offer KFC products and its Drive-Thru service to more PETRONAS customers nationwide.
In the MoU between both parties, QSR Stores is to establish 50 new KFC Drive-Thru outlets at PETRONAS stations nationwide, within the next three years.

The MoU was signed by Ling Mee Jiuan, Senior Vice President of KFC Malaysia and Aadrin Azly, Head of Retail Business Division, PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad in a ceremony held at KFC PETRONAS TTDI Drive-Thru.

Also present at the ceremony were YBhg. Datuk Mohamed Azahari Mohamed Kamil, Managing Director of QSR Brands, YBhg. Dato’ Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed M Tahir, Vice President Marketing, Downstream Business PETRONAS, Merrill Pereyra, Restaurant CEO of QSR Brands and YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Ibrahimnuddin Mohd Yunus, Managing Director and CEO of PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad.

Datuk Mohamed Azahari Mohamed Kamil said that the strategic collaboration with PDB provides excellent opportunity for QSR Brands to expand its business and restaurant services for the next three years.

“As a market leader within the quick service restaurants segment in Malaysia, we want our service to be easily accessible to our customers. While continuing to strengthen our core product and service offerings to deliver excellent customer experiences, we place a great emphasis on our expansion strategies so we could meet the elevated demands of our customers today and tomorrow. Through this collaboration, we are looking forward to grow and expand our business with PETRONAS’ strong presence in the country.”
